The staff was super accommodating, arranged hot air balloon rides and last-minute tours for us. The views from the terrace were amazing, especially in the morning. The location was perfect for exploring local attractions like Uchisar Castle and the fairy chimneys!
We faced a bit of a hassle with cold water in the room. The heating was turned down while we were out, chilly at times. We didn't realize bringing slippers would have been important, as the stone floors can get cold.

Decent place for exploring Goreme. Incredibly beautiful and exceptionally comfortable hotel with marvellous breakfast. Great and amazing location in a really quiet area so close to the center and Cappadocia. Comfy beds in our twin room. Absolutely fabulous views of the town and valleys from our room, absolutely kind staff.

The breakfast looked freshly cooked, with astonishing views, unfortunately we where in a hurry and didn't try it.
Views appeared to be very limited.

Good size rooms with cozy warmth. Plenty of local restaurants within walking distance.
Room placement issues-being near a smoking area means dealing with unwanted odors, and the lingering bathroom smell from the drains can become overpowering. No daily room refreshes either, requiring us to consistently request fresh towels and supplies.

The room was clean with an amazing view, and the breakfast was the best I've had in Turkey-especially the pastries! Getting there was a bit tricky due to road work, and climbing the steps could be challenging for some, but totally worth it!

If you are looking at Taskonak for your stay in Goereme, look no further. It is an exceptional place to stay: wonderful views of the surrounding landscape, characteristic Goereme neighbourhood, clean and nice rooms, reasonably priced, excellent breakfast... Angela, the owner acts as a friend who happens to run the hotel, helpful in many ways that make your stay more enjoyable and easier with the right information on all that interests a traveler to Cappadocia. And do not miss to eat at Fat Boys, a restaurant in the centre of Goereme owned by her husband Yilmaz. We tried many restaurants, but the food and the relaxed atmosphere at FatBoys were unbeatable.

Beautiful views from the terrace made breakfast a delight. The shower soaked the bathroom, inconvenient.

I stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the room, which was exceptionally clean with a view. A flat-screen TV with cable channels, climate control and a personal safe where appreciated. The location was marvellous and stunning, in Cappadocia caves! Actually everything was great, my next choice again in Goreme...

The cave room provided a unique stay, with beautiful decor and a cozy atmosphere. Waking up to a fine view of hot air balloons from the terrace was a highlight. Angela, the owner, was helpful, arranged tours and giving great local recommendations. Breakfast featured delicious homemade pastries. Unfortunately, the room could be a bit chilly during the day as heating was turned down when we were out. The cold stone floors also required slippers. The noise from outside during the night could be bothersome at times, but the overall ambiance of the hotel made up for it. The location was perfect, close to local shops and just a short walk to the bus station. It's worth mentioning that while the air conditioning worked well, the bathroom could use a proper shower curtain, as water ended up splashing around. Despite these minor setbacks, the positive aspects definitely outweighed the negatives.

Superb value for money, high quality rooms and facilities, comfortable beds, hot shower, fabulous breakfast including home-made treats, warm welcoming atmosphere, quiet location overlooking village but only short walk to centre, the owner Angela kindly assisted with booking day trips, organising low cost airport transfers and suggesting local restaurants etc, our choice of this accommodation really added to the enjoyment of our stay in Goreme!
Our particular room wasn't able to connect to the wifi, but it was no problem to sit upstairs in the lounge/kitchen to organise our travel bookings online. The first evening we were in a room with an external bathroom which was a little cold to walk outside in winter, however we were moved to another room for the second night which had an ensuite bathroom for the same price and this was very nice of the owner to make this offer. We booked the 'Green Tour' using the company suggested by the hotel as one of our activities. This was a good way to see nearby places that were otherwise tricky by local transport, however our guide did not add much to the experience and the lunch experience included was tainted by the rudeness of the staff there and overpriced beverages. Would be worth shopping around tour companies.
